***OSTERWORKSHOP 2026: Meet the teachers!
Prof. Natalia Hoffmann-Sitnikova is currently teaching at the Ballett-Akademie München/Hochschule für Musik und Theater and will transmit her knowledge to participants in Classical Ballet and Pointe in our Level IV class (professional ballet education, according skills required). We are looking forward to welcoming Prof. Hoffmann-Sitnikova in our Easter Workshop 2026 from Tue 7th to Sat 11th April!

In Anknüpfung an den erstmalig 2025 stattgefundenen Impulsvortrag freuen wir uns Fr. Kirsten-Collein auch dieses Jahr wieder als Gastdozentin bei uns begrüßen zu dürfen. Der Impulsvortrag 2026 wird weitere Aspekte und Grundlagen sowie Fragestellungen zur Waganowa-Methode des Klassischen Balletts behandeln und ist sowohl als Erstvortrag wie auch als Fortsetzung geeignet.

Zur Dozentin: Ursula Kirsten-Collein erhielt als eine der ersten Deutschen einen Studienplatz am Staatlichen Choreographischen Institut in Leningrad/St. Petersburg, der weltbekannten Vaganova Schule. 1958 absolvierte sie das fünfjährige Studium erfolgreich mit dem „Diplom des Instituts.“ An die Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin zurückgekehrt, wirkte sie zusätzlich als Ballettmeisterin und Repetitorin. Parallel dazu nahm sie 1958 ihre pädagogische Arbeit an der Staatlichen Ballettschule Berlin auf, an der sie dann von 1961 bis 1971 als künstlerisch-methodische Leiterin tätig war und darüber hinaus noch bis in die 2000er Jahre wirkte. Mit ihrer 2003 erschienenen Übersetzung des Buches „Schule des Klassischen Tanzes“ von Vera S. Kostrovitzkaja, ihrer damaligen Lehrerin in St. Petersburg und ihrerseits Assistentin Aggrippina Vaganova’s, machte sie dieses traditionsreiche künstlerisch-methodische Erbe russischen Ballettkunst für nachfolgende Generationen von deutschsprachigen Ballettpädagog:innen zugänglich.

I spent one year at Benedict – Manniegel international ballet academy and I have never progressed that much during such a short time.
What I like about the school is that the teachers are very experienced. They are teaching traditional Vaganova Method that gives you a strong classical base for professional dancers. Also, they care about every detail which is important.
We do a lot of performances and rehearsals that prepare students for their future life in theatres. This is such a great experience.
The city of Munich is very enjoyable and safe. The people are very kind and helpful. There are many parks around the city. The biggest one (English Garten) is just a few hundred meters away from the school.
To summarize the school is an excellent door opener for entering a renowned public school or a company and helps to improve strongly your techniques as well as scene experience.
